L-carnitine is required for the transport of fatty acids in cells during the breakdown of fat for energy. Carnitine also acts as an antioxidant.

As we age, our natural levels of Carnitine decrease, which effects our ability to break down fatty acids. By taking Acetyl L-Carnitine Propionate we can begin to restore these levels.

L-Carnitine also helps to optimise glucose storage and carbohydrate metabolism along with improving insulin sensitivity.
